Preliminary provisions

Konsultnet AB and Effectplan International AB are jointly, together with Konsultnet Scandinavia AB, data controller for the processing of personal data that takes place within the framework of our total offer and will only be used to promote our partnership.

Our customers are of paramount importance to us, so we assume responsibility for protecting their privacy. This privacy policy explains how we collect and use information about our users and how we protect our users’ privacy. We encourage you to read this privacy policy carefully before using our services.

This privacy policy applies to the processing of personal data that is carried out within the framework of our customer register, i.e. when you interact with our case management system and other related information about our products and services.

We, together with Konsultnet Scandinavia AB, corp. ID no. 556508-5254, are responsible for the processing of personal data that is carried out within the framework of customer cases and customer information for which we jointly determine the purposes and methods of processing.

Main concepts

Personal data is information that can be linked directly or indirectly to a natural, living person. Examples of personal data are name, address, telephone number and email address. Under certain circumstances, data about IP address and user activity when you use a service may also constitute personal data.

Processing of personal data includes all handling of personal data, such as collection, registration and storage.

The data controller is solely, or in conjunction with another party, responsible for determining the purpose and means of the processing of personal data and is ultimately responsible for the processing according to applicable privacy laws.

Data which we collect

Below, we have outlined the data we collect from you and the contexts in which it is collected:

  1. Data you provide to us

When you use and perform activities in the context of a service, for example, as a project member or person responsible for an order, or provide data about yourself, such as name, address, telephone number and email address to any of our employees. Personal data in this category is that which you actively submit to us, for example, by filling in online forms, sending messages to support, or providing feedback through features created for that purpose. An example of this is a contact form for a project.

  1. Personal data collected when using our services

When you use our services, participate in a project, or are the contact person for operations and maintenance, we store information that pertains to your use of the service. This information includes how we can contact you in a variety of situations relating to general, technical and product information, or feedback on a case.

  1. General information

Through server logs and other tools, we register information about the device in relation to your use of aspects of our services through our customer and support portal on different devices. This information may include operating system, browser version, IP address, cookies, and unique identifiers.

We store information about your visits to our various web pages and your use of our services.

  1. Cookies and other content stored locally on your device

When you visit our websites on which we provide our services, we use, directly or through third parties, different technologies to recognise you and learn more about you as a user. For more information on these technologies, please refer to the entry below “Using cookies and related technologies”.

Purpose of the processing – What is the data used for?

We process and share your personal data with other companies, within the Konsultnet Group, for the purpose of (i) fulfilling our contractual and legal obligations, (ii) providing and managing your access to our services, (iii) responding to customer service cases and correcting faults, (iv) improving your user experience, (v) giving you special offers and recommendations that are adapted to the information we have about you, (vi), (viii) further developing services (including by adapting these to what we believe to be the users’ preferences) and (ix) preventing, limiting and investigating abuse of the service.

Below, you will find more information about purposes (iv) through (ix).

Direct marketing

If you have an active customer relationship with us, we may send you information and promotions via email, phone or digital contact routes (such as social media), unless you have instructed us not to do so. You can unsubscribe from our direct marketing through the links provided and in this way opt out of further correspondence.

Prevent, limit and investigate abuse

We use personal data regarding users’ activities and technical data to prevent, limit and investigate various forms of abuse of our services. By abuse, we mean spam actions, which violate the terms of our agreement, and other acts prohibited by law. If we detect abuse of our services, and to prevent further abuse, we may provide information about your device or IP address using an identification service to prevent further abuse in connection with the use of that device.

Transfer of personal data

When you contact us through our customer and support portal, for example, by emailing consultants, this data will be stored as it constitutes common personal data.

Your personal data is transferred to Konsultnet for processing in accordance with this privacy policy. Your personal data will be disclosed to other companies within the Konsultnet group, companies that are wholly or partly owned, directly or indirectly, by Konsultnet Scandinavia insofar as the disclosure is relevant for the purposes stated in this privacy policy. These companies may also independently process your personal data in order to personalise and enhance your customer experience and improve their products and services.

We will not share, sell, transfer or otherwise disclose personal data beyond the terms of this privacy policy, unless we are required to do so due to legal obligations or if we have received your consent to such disclosure. If there is any suspicion that you have committed a crime in connection with the use of our services, data may, upon request, be disclosed to the authorities. This does not exclude us from using data processors that process personal data on our behalf.

Data processors who provide their services will be subject to confidentiality and will not be allowed to use the data for purposes other than the provision of services to us.

Transfer of personal data to third countries

If we transfer your personal data to a third country, i.e. non-EU/EEA country, we will enter into agreements and take other measures in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Storage and deletion of personal data

Your personal data is stored for no longer than is necessary to fulfil the purposes of the processing as described in this privacy policy. Your personal data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer relevant to the purposes for which it was collected.

Extraction, correction, blocking and deletion

You have the right to request a register extract which contains information about the personal data that we process about you. You have the right to this information free of charge accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

You also have the right to request that we correct, block or delete personal data in accordance with applicable law.

Cookies and related technologies

We use cookies, pixel tags, local storage and other technologies in order to understand you as a user and analyse user data. For more information about our use of these technologies, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

Social plug-ins

When you use our services, you can share information about them on social media, such as Facebook or LinkedIn, through an implemented social plug-in (for example, the “like” button). If you choose to share information through a social plug-in, your browser will transfer the following data to the social media in question:

  1. a) date and time of your visit
  2. b) weblink/URL of the page you are currently visiting
  3. c) your IP address
  4. d) which browser you used
  5. e) which operating system you used
  6. f) your username if you are a registered social media user and, if applicable, your first and last name, and
  7. g) the purposes for which you used the plug-in

For such information, we refer to the terms of the respective social media. We encourage you to keep informed about the purpose and extent of data collection carried out through social plug-ins. You can block social plug-ins in your web browser settings. Please note that we have no influence over the data collected by social media in relation to the use of their plug-ins.

Changes to the privacy policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. However, we will notify you if we make significant changes that require your consent.
